NUEVA CADIZ SPANISH TRADE BEAD, named for a Spanish site in
Venezuela and probably manufactured in Barcelona, Spain and brought to
the Americas by the early Spanish explorers Narvaez, de Lone, and
Desoto, c 1500-1550. These beautiful tubular beads are turquoise-blue
in color and were excavated in Gilchrist County, FL (on Desoto's route
up the coast of Florida on his way exploring northwest Florida), very

SPANISH MISSION CRUCIFIX TO BE GIVEN TO A CONVERTED INDIAN FROM A
SPANISH SHIP OFF THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA, 1 1/2" brass
with eyehook intact, two sided with Christ on his cross. Very similar
to the style found in the wreck of the Matanceros.
Several of these small crucifixes were found in a cluster of coral, we
have two of the nicest specimens from a small group, sharp details c.

HAND MADE BRONZE LARGE STICK PINS FROM A SPANISH WRECK, c.
1700, 2 1/2" hand made bronze pins with an ornate head recovered
from an unknown wreck off the coast of Florida, almost exact specimens

SUPERB IRON SPANISH LANCE/PIKE POINT FROM MEXICO CITY,
7" overall, rectangular shaped pint that tapers from the
wrap-around sock which is still attached to a small section of wood
(the shaft of the lance), c. 1690-1700 or possibly earlier. Old tag
shows it was excavated near Mexico City, very

silver cross with 18th Century style (eyelet parallel to the top bar),
coin silver style and found in New Mexico at a Mission site. Typical

18TH CENTURY EXCAVATED SPANISH CANDLESTICK EXCAVATED NEAR ST.
AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA, Brass, 4" high, 6" drip pan with
attached handle, simple Spanish style candlestick excavated near St.
Augustine, FL, in St. John's County. Early style, c. 1700-1750, slit
in side for removing bottom of candle stub. Exceptional condition for
being excavated. From an old Southern collection of Southern Colonial

Florida, 17th Century large iron door lock with the original key still

in length with socket, rectangular tip that tapers from the socket.
Designs engraved where the blade meets the socket. Old collector's tag

THE FIRST SPANISH COIN IN THE AMERICAS, Silver One Real
coin struck by the Spanish King and Queen Carlos & Johanna. c.
1540 in Mexico City. Very fine with sharp detailed for a hammered coin
on a thin silver planchet. This style was first used and changed to
the crude "Cob" form seen in the 17th and early 18th

PIECE OF EIGHT OR 8 REALS EXCAVATED FROM THE WRECK OF THE 'BLACK SAIL
GALLEON', silver 8 Reals from the Potosi, Bolivia mint clearly
dated "71" for 1671. Recovered from the wreck of the SENORITA
DE SANTA CHRISTINA that sank in the Bay of Cadiz in 1672. The
ship was known at the "Black Sail Galleon" because the sails
were painted black to avoid being easily seen by Pirates, comes with

THE SPANISH PILLAR STYLE SILVER REALS, the first
"round" milled silver coins produced in the Spanish Colonies

distinctive Pillar design on the obverse that was used on Spanish

A NICE SET OF SIX SPANISH 2 REAL OR 'TWO BIT SILVER' PIECES ALL
WITH REVOLUTIONARY WAR DATES, Six Different 2 Real coins
of Carlos III, dated 1776, 1777, 1778, 1779, 1780, 1781, all
from the Lima, Peru Mint with only the 1777 being struck at Mexico
City. These popular quarter sized silver coins have been excavated for
years in American Revolutionary War camps as the Spanish silver coin
was the major medium of exchange in the Colonies. Coins are very good
to fine, no damaged coins (none dug). All details nice and clear...the
1776 dated coin is always in demand and always draws a premium

SPANISH PIECES OF EIGHT TREASURE IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION,
While most Spanish treasure comes from sea wrecks and the condition of
silver coins is usually rough, this group of Spanish 8 Reals or
"Pieces of Eight" came from a land find chest in a cave in
South America. All were struck at the Potosi, Bolivia Mint between the
years 1777 and 1780. All have great Revolutionary War
dates. These large coins were struck under the rule of Carlos III and
have his portrait on the obverse. The condition of these coins are the
finest we have ever handles...near uncirculated sharp and detailed,
